the sugar bowl challenge

Morning Everyone,
Hope you are all having a great weekend,heres my entry into this weeks sugar bowl challenge which was a sketch with the added extra of bow/and or ribbon,ive coloured my image with disress inks and went round the edge with spiced marmalade,think i went a bit over the top with it tho,but sure,ive also used papers again from the bloom & grow paper pack by my minds eye,i soo love them,some are embossed and some are double sided which is fantastic,ribbon,lace and button are from my stash.Hope you like it..

A Spoonful of Sugar

Heres my entry into this weeks a spoonful of sugar which this week is a fabulous sketch,ive used one of my new high hopes stamps called hay ride dont the look like they are having so much fun,ive also use papers from the new 6 by 6 paper pack from my minds eye called bloom & grow arnt they lovely.. the pink paper is a download and orange is from my stash along with the roses and gems..ive used the martha stewart doily lace,frond branch and butterfly puunches and flowers are papermania and last of all i coloured the image with my distress inks

sketch saturday challenge card

hope everyone is having a lovely day wherever you are,it is sunny here today which is fab cuz it means the kids can get out to play,so a little peace for me lol

well heres my entry for this weeks sketch saturday,i decided to make a christmas card as i got this beautiful new stamp from whipper snapper and couldnt wait to ink it up,it is from there new autumn/winter collection,ive used cardstock, brads,and ribbon all from my stash,i have also used a snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder and went over it with a nail file to bring up the snowflakes so you can see them better,sentiment is used with a ribbon i got tied round a xmas present and i mounted it onto card and 3d foamed it,image is coloured with distress inks and ive added some stickles to it,the tiny snowflakes i punched out with some glitter board...

Just Magnolia - Mina's Sketch

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well,soz for being a bad blogger lately,i havnt even been making any cards,but had to make an effort and do this card for Just Magnolia as this week it is a sketch by my fabulous friend Mina,dont think she would have forgiven me if i hadnt lol she has been giving off to me for not making any cards.

Well ive used tilda with lilics and coloured her with distress inks,the papers are from my stash along with all the other bits n bobs and i used my new cuttlebug embossing folder - swiss dots, the larger flowers i got from the early learning centre(arnt they lovely).

Check back with me tomorrow as i have another card which ive made using one of my new whipper snapper stamps from their new autumn/winter range.

Just Magnolia Tutorial challenge

Heres my entry into the Just Magnolia Tutorial challenge which is distressing and kim has made a fantasic tutorial so make sure you check it out and all the fantastic DT cards.

Tilda with Roses - coloured with distress inks,tea dye used to distress
Papers - summertime designs (downloaded) tea dye distress ink used to distress edges
flowers and ribbon are from my stash and again i have used tea dye to give them a distressed look
frond branch - martha stewart punch and doily lace - martha stewart punch

Ive used my metal ruler to distress around the edges of the paper and image before using the distress ink and used a nail file to distress the branches and the doily lace border before using ink.

Hope this makes sense as im hopeless at trying to explain things lol
i must remember to put it on the site this time as i forgot to upload my just magnolia on thursday night in the site ooooooppppppzzzz lol

well ive coloured tilda with distress inks and used downloaded papers from summertime designs,nesties,flowers,ribbon and sentiment from my stash,also used my new martha stewart boder punch and my new frond branch ms punch also,im sooo in love with punches at the mo and he butterfly was sent in with my order from ''dies to die for'' such a nice gesture

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge

well this is a first for me as ive never tryed to alter anything as have always played safe and just made cards lol
So i thought that i would give Just Magnolias monthly challenge a go,decided that i would keep it simple,ive made a pen holder for my whispers and marvey pens.
Ive used my minds eye paper,tilda image is coloured with my distress inks and ive punched some flowers out and added brads and gems in the centres,dragonfly brads,gems,pearls and lace are all from my stash,hope you like what ive done as im actually pleased with what ive done and will have to try it again

Just Magnolia and Sketch Saturday

hi Everyone,
Still cant get myself motivated to get cards done at the moment but did mange to make 1 last night as im really missing doing my challenge cards,this one ive made is for Just Magnolia and sketch saturday,ive used tilda butterfly stamp which i think is my fav at the moment and im really pleased with my colouring in theis one,ive also used sentiment stamp from the greeting farm,papers i found lying at the bottom of my paper drawer and just loved the colours on them don know were they from tho,flowers,ladybirds and flowers are all from my stash and i added green sead beads at the end of tildas antennas

hi all this my 2nd post today so make sure and check below to see the card i made for simon says,this one is for this weeks sketch saturday ive used one of my new miss anya stamps,i just love them im really getting into these greeting farm stamps and have gathered up a few already,ive used a downlaoded paper pack from sweet shoppe designs and thought it was just perfect to go with this stamp ive coloured image with distress inks and have used fiskers threading water punch,senitmnet is from greeting farm also,ive used so anitas 3 glaze on the sunglasses and ice lolly.

Hope you are all having a fab weekend.
Well thought i would give simon says stamps challenge a go and this week you had to make a card using pink and brown so this is what i came up with,
Ive used one of my new Anya stamps and coloured her with distress inks and added some stickles to the wings,skirt and the puches in her hair,pairs ive used are a mix of basic grey and one ive had for ages that id downloaded and cant remember were from tho,sentiment is tim holtz,flowers are prima and brads and ribbon are from my stash.

wow wow wow i won last weeks sketch saturday,how lucky am i,it was $25 to spend on simon says stamps online shop WELL did i have fun or did i have fun looking threw all the fabulous goodies that that they have in their shop i didnt know what to choose,but i did in the end lol and thankyou to heidi for a fab prize and quick responses to my emails

heres my entry intp this weeks colour create challenge i just loved this weeks colours and added extra as it gave me the chance to do some paper piecing which i havnt done very much off,think i went a bit mad tho as the only part of tilda that isnt paper pieced is her hair and skin,im sorry i dont know who the papers are by as i found them in a drawer and they didnt have a name on them anymore,i used stickles on the wings and distress inks to colour skin and hair,rub on flowers etc are all from my stash,hope you like it and thanks for looking

WOJ Challenge

Evening All,
Heres my entry into this weeks WOJ Challenge which this week has a theme which is stars and stripes,thought this one would have been tricky but i actually thought it was ok,and didnt take me long to make it up

I used Oakley and tree stump from the spring kit and masked oakley and stamped the stump over so he is sitting on it and coloured it with distress inks and marvy leplume pens,then i used digital downloads which ive had for a while and cant remember where i got them from - oopz i found some die-cut letters in my stash and covered them with paper and star brads from my stash which are from Hotp(i think)lol im a nightmare at trying to remember things.

hope you like it as im actually quite pleased with this card which makes a change for me lol

sketch saturday challenge card

Morning All,
Just a quick post before heading to bed as i was working the dreaded night shift last night,heres my card for this weeks sketch saturday challenge,i tryed something very different for me this time,im not too sure about so hopefully you will all give me your honest opinions on it as im not sure bout it at ALL
Heres what ive used:

Image is stamped using worn lipstick distress ink,im not too sure who these stamps are from but have had them a very long time and have never inked them up,used nesties and my new Martha stewart border punch which i got off dies to die for and must say that the service i got was fabulous,sentiment is from the same stamp set and also the sentiment and babys footprints which ive used to make the backing paper i then inked round the edges also! Soz if this isnt making sense as i can feel my eyes getting VERY heavy so really need my bed now i think lol

Colour Create - brown orange and green

Heres my take on this weeks colour create challenge which this week is brown,orange and green and with the extra potion of making a male card

well i must say i dont really like making mens cards as i can never think of anything to put on them and i dont have very many male images,i did struggle quite a bit with this one and it took me forever to finally get it finished lol but i got there in the end..

so heres what ive used

downloaded plaid paper from raspberry road designs (free download)
Woj image from spring stamp club-coloured with distress inks and marvy leplumme pens and ive distressed the edges and tinted them with tea dye(this is a 1st attempt at this)Ive also distressed and tinted the edges of the paper.
ribbon is papermania
buttons are all from my stash,really like them as they a little different from what i would normally use
orange card stock is from my stash

Evening all,
Heres a pic of my just magnolia card this week we had to make a card using the colours green and pink,i struggled a bit with this one dont know why lol

Ive coloured the tilda with distress inks and used paper, lace, crochet flower, prima flowers,brad,ribbo and sentiment all from my stash aint got a clue who they by or were i got them lol Soz!!!

Ive also just got a new camera,so had a go at taking a pic of my card rather than scanning it,so hope you can see what ive done ok

basic grey challenge

2 challenge card posts in 1 day again,how good am i!! lol hope you are all having a good weekend,its quiet in my house today as o/h has taken ALL the kids out for the day so i could get the dreaded H#######k done,but im sat making cards instead oooopz lol

This weeks challenge at basic grey is a sketch which i will surely use again as love it,ive used offbeat-basic grey papers and sarah kay image coloured using my new distress inks,oooh i how i love them flowers were sent to me by the fab Erin and i used fiskers border punch,HOTP sentiment stamp,buttons and other card stock is from my stash

at the sugar bowl this week the challenge is to make a card for a man,Arrrrrrgh!!!
The dreaded man card,must say i DID struggle as i dont have many stamps suitable for male cards,gonna have to invest in some i think,thought this 1 would be good for fathers day,i have used a home grown image and coloured it with distress inks and whispers,paper,button and ribbons are all from my stash,and sentiment is computer generated and cut using my labels 1 nesties
